Colour combinations deepen as we embark upon our second home tour, where rich jewel tones and warm wood grain form a sumptuous new classical decor scheme. Panel moulded walls, decorative boiserie and smart crown moulding frame the high-ceilinged rooms of both abodes, whilst fitted furniture draws out sleek contemporary lines, and metallic accents add bright lustre.
In Novosibirsk, Russia, a small sectional sofa strikes a deep red accent into the centre of an airy white and pale grey living room decor scheme. 
Layered drapes hang an eye-catching, sophisticated frame around average-sized windows, creating added grandeur. Panel moulding fashions a uniform wall decoration across the TV wall. 
A plush sapphire lounge chair and matching footstool contrast richly with the dark red couch and its burgundy throw. An attention grabbing piece of art pulls the contrasting colours of the living room chair and sofa together upon the wall. 
Five upholstered dining chairs bring two different coloured finishes to the table, which prevents the elegant set from appearing overly formal and stuffy within the classical surroundings. 
A bank of modern storage units are built around the doors leading off the main living space. Smooth matt white doors blend the units into the white backdrop of the room, with only the metallic handles alerting the eye to their presence. 
In contrast, the interior doors feature classical moulding and are painted grey to match the grey baseboard. 
A fluted glass closet stores coats and shoes by the home entryway. Interior lighting highlights the pretty texture of the doors. 
A mirrored wall conceals the door to the powder room on the opposite side of the entryway. A deep red vanity stool injects a little colour. 
Oak chevron flooring runs right from the front entry door all the way through to the bedrooms. 
Inside the master bedroom, an olive green classical wallpaper spreads a dense botanical pattern around three walls of the bedroom, pausing only for a clean white panelled TV wall. 
A gold chandelier adds a luxurious touch to the master bedroom, which also serves as the nursery. 
A modern, linear vanity table crisply underlines a traditional vanity mirror. An elegant grey dressing table chair completes the ensemble. 
The grey upholstered bed perfectly matches the room’s pristine grey painted trims. 
Inside the shared kids’ room, the muted green decor palette continues. This time green elements are coupled with warm apricot accents and a contemporary arch shape theme. 
Modern wall sconces provide reading light over the two apricot upholstered kids’ beds, where arch motifs paint a fun feature wall. Cute bedroom wall art adds character by the door. 
A double kid’s study space is equally divided to avoid sibling arguments. Matching wardrobes flank each side. 
The master walk in wardrobe is fitted with two facing walls of clothes storage. A wonderfully tall window floods the narrow dressing space with bright natural light. 
A full length mirror adds a shiny brass accent to the pale blue-grey and white dressing room decor palette. 
Natural baskets hold small accessories within easy reach. 
White containers stow away seasonal and occasional items. 
In the bathroom, brass accents create warm, luxe moments against a pure white canvas. Grey stone tiles cover an elevated platform beneath the bathtub. 
A floral display and candles create a spa-like vibe on a small brass round side table. 
White subway tiles line the cistern concealment wall and the wet zone. 
The brass accent climbs a towel rail between the bathtub and a floating vanity unit. 
White units store laundry facilities. 
The laundry room storage cabinets are thoughtfully designed to hold all of the household cleaning supplies and equipment. 
Our next classical apartment design is located in the old town of Bratislava, Slovakia. A rich emerald green sofa makes the boldest colour statement in the lounge, with a traditional living room rug providing intricate pattern and interest. 
The quirky light fixture in the living room is the Moooi Perch Light Branch, which looks just like a row of white cockatoos peering down from a bough. A set of wall mounted plates depict an entirely modern take on classical art. 
A glass coffee table set nests in the centre of the lounge, where their clear glazed tops allow the pattern of the carpet to show through. Classical artwork is framed with a panel of decorative boiserie. 
Inside the snug, a red persian rug is laid at an angle to the modern grey sofa. Decorative wall mirrors reflect a beautiful chandelier. 
A small study area sits in the light from the window. 
The plain white powder room is enriched with brass fixtures and a matching round vanity mirror.
