Soft light fills the space, the moment you step inside The Hush Apartment, designed by Nadiia Chabanna. There’s calmness, layering, and intentional design, one that leans into quiet choices that make the rooms feel effortless. The interior is, in fact, built around softness and balance, where clean lines intersect warm, lived-in comfort.

The living room in The Hushed Home feels like a calm, soothing space right as you walk in. Toned-down features reinforce the soft elements. Think white floor-to-ceiling curtains, a neutral sofa, a low oak coffee table, and a sculptural black floor lamp. To keep things from falling flat, the designer has placed a low blue armchair, also serving as the focal point, in the stillness of this living room.

Taking a glance towards the corner, there’s a black-framed oak console adorned with a couple of sculptural decor pieces to tie into the overall minimal design style; sleek candles, books, a textured vase, and an eye-catching geometric black-and-white wall art hanging.

The dining area replicates the same quiet elegance as the rest of The Hushed Home. A solid oak table anchors the space with its strong, simple lines. Soft, upholstered chairs add comfort, while the Cesca-style armchairs bring a touch of classic design.

Talking about the lighting, floor-to-ceiling windows, paired with sheer curtains, let in plenty of sunlight. You can also spot a clever use of cable-suspended pendants, adding excellent visual interest. Together, the high curtain placement, hanging fixtures, and tall cactus planter enhance the illusion of a more elevated ceiling.

The heart of the home features a rich backdrop of dark walnut cabinetry. The island, wrapped fully in grey terrazzo and lined with curved, neutral barstools, grounds the space with a sculptural presence. A slim linear pendant hangs above, almost weightless, drawing a subtle line across the modern open floor plan.

Just off to the side, pale upper cabinets open into a compact prep nook finished with the same terrazzo. The look stays sleek + clutter-free. Even the decor is kept minimal (tall dried stems, a single tray, a few clear glasses), just enough to add life without breaking the stillness.

Nadiia has prioritized a calm, restful ambiance in the bedroom, and it shows. There’s a long wooden headboard stretching across the entire wall. Classic enough, but she went off-script with the bedside lamps: a bubble wall lamp on one side, and a slim reading light on the other. An idea that works perfectly with the overall understated vibe of the setting.

Not everything stays quiet in The Hushed Home, though. The white slatted closet in the bedroom provides a sculptural break for the eye, still looking absolutely coherent.

The Hushed Home is designed with two bathrooms. Attached to the bedroom is the master bathroom, which features a sleek wood vanity, floating toilet, and luxurious freestanding bathtub. Grey flooring and warm lighting keep the decor consistent. Again, the designer takes the opportunity to showcase her quirky decor style with a stunning hand-painted black accent wall.

For the second bathroom, there’s a full-wall closet that blends in like it’s not even there. A wall-hung toilet, floating cabinetry, and a shower tucked behind the curtain give the bathroom its functionality. We can also find a blue wall hanging and an LED-lit mirror for that modern aesthetic feel.
