Architectural Vision of Rio De Janeiro, Olympic City 2016

Archive

If you haven't been under a rock the past one week or so, you are probably aware that Rio De Janeiro has been chosen to play the host city for the 2016 Olympic games. It competed against Chicago, Tokyo and Madrid for the final run before being chosen as the winner. The fact that Rio is capable of hosting big sporting events like the Pan American Games which it hosted in 2007 and also the the Fifa World Cup which is scheduled for 2014 might have tipped the odds in its favour. And this video that highlights the architectural master plan of the city might have nailed it. Honestly, it is one of the sexiest city scale visualizations I have ever seen.
