Rustic elegance washes through these four large home designs, characterised by calming neutrals, tactile stone and rugged rustic features. Architectural archways and great columns build grandeur under classic wooden ceiling beams. Ancient stone masonry is laid bare to expose the history and age of the buildings, cracks and all, in perfect imperfection. Modern pieces counterbalance the classic backdrops, adding in chic silhouettes. Our first home design holds inspiration for split-level living, whilst tour number two holds a sculpturally driven aesthetic. Our third featured home brings down the room scale a little but spares nothing on room height, whilst our final interior is a wide and mountainous space with a spectacular rock face right in the living room.
This villa project from Berlin, Germany, is a scene of light rustic elegance. A clean composition of cream, white and beige elements create an ethereal aesthetic. A plain area rug and white modern sofa form the soft heart of the room, with a sleek rectangle coffee table and textured accent cushion adding hints of smoky grey. 
Stunning architectural arches divide the huge lounge from an open kitchen diner. Black swing arm wall lamps disrupt the peacefully pale decor scheme, extending from great stone columns 
A modern chaise lounge chair reclines in the sunlight, where lightweight white violes billow in the breeze. Rustic stone masonry characterises the deep window reveals. 
Wooden beams cross the pitched ceiling, forming a wonderfully warming effect over the pale room. 
Staircases rise on each side of the large kitchen diner layout. 
Up on the elevated portion of the home, a second sitting room is furnished with a much smaller sofa. Slender black floor lamps emerge from behind the seating, matching the stark aesthetic of the black ceiling light. 
Custom cut mirrors fill wall recesses behind the couch, which makes an already large room appear even more spacious. A narrow column between the mirrors becomes the perfect home for a set of modern wall sconces. 
Extruded pattern makes an artistic addition to the fireplace wall. 
Built in bookshelves make neat inclusions inside the smooth surroundings, crafted from pale wood grain that melds with the subtle wall treatment. 
A small side table contrasts darkly against the white contemporary couch. 
A unique rug draws an irregular outline around the sofa, providing a perfectly loose solution for a corner situated sofa. 
Backless shelving opens up a visual of the kitchen and dining space on the lower part of the split level layout. 
The one wall kitchen goes almost undetected in the room. 
The kitchen storage is concealed behind secretive smooth panels. 
Once revealed, the sleek kitchen joins forces with the dining table set to form one impressive entertaining area. 
Matching food storage containers and sets of wine glasses populate the kitchen shelves in organised rows. 
A stainless steel kitchen tap fills an integrated sink. 
Our second chic rustic home interior has a sculptural quality, with a unique sofa design and sectioned roof beams. 
Chunky wooden shelf brackets seem to echo the beige upholstered segments of the tufted sofa. 
A unique black accent chair shares the large living room area rug with the sofa and a stone racetrack coffee table. 
Elegant archways shape the windows and exterior doorways. 
Behind the lounge area, there is a modern dining set with an eclectic composition of chairs and dining stools. 
Our third home design features a more snug room size than the first two, but lofty ceilings make the place feel large and airy. 
Distressed walls communicate a Wabi-sabi sense of beautiful imperfection. A rustic chandelier descends from the wooden ceiling beams. 
Inside the master bedroom, the wood platform bed has a traditional screen headboard design. 
The materials of the bed build warmly complements the traditional stone walls of the home. 
A custom wardrobe design honours the arched architectural features of the house. 
The kitchen is bestowed with a luxurious white and grey marble backsplash, countertop, integrated sink and open shelf. 
White marble backsplashes wash across the bathroom design too, beneath playful shadows of plant foliage. 
Stunning molding frames the original door to the bathroom. 
Our final spectacular rustic home is a vast space with colossal archways and columns. An immense rockface makes up one astounding wall of the building. 
A textured rug pulls the lounge furniture together in the centre of the massive living room. Natural colours honour the mountainside location. 
A stone dining table divides the lounge area from the kitchen, teamed with stone dining stools and designer chairs to mark the head and foot.
