Study Space Inspiration for Teens

Check out these study spaces for teens by PB Teen. We think they’re comfy, age-appropriate, and perfect for quiet study and concentration. The girls’ study furniture is subtly girly with more white and softer colors thrown in, while the boys’ designs tend to appreciate the dark wood desks more and also lay emphasis on sports accessories. Yet, most of the study spaces are equipped with multiple storage compartments, plenty of surface area for books and materials, comfy chairs, a few pops of color and fun design.

Young Workspaces

Young people take a lot of pride in the way they set up their room. Though grown-ups often feel that a child’s space should feed and nurture their creativity, curiosity, and ability to focus, the space usually ends up as one that shows off the child’s passions. As each has their own unique tastes and needs, it would be rare to find two that are alike. In this set of young workspaces we focus on a few that sport a special creative flair.

The first five images are designs by Turkish interior designer, Akcalar and the last five are by Barcelona designer, Sergi Mengot.

Here, Akcalar strips down the rustic design style to end up with a simple yet rugged artist’s workspace.

Here is a modern, young person’s room, decorated with a touch of color and a modern workspace.

Another corner is designated in this room for the computer space and workspace, with bookshelves installed into the wall above.

And here is Akcalar’s vision of what a young, future producer’s or film-maker’s office space would look like–simple desk and chair, lots of color and inspiration on the walls. The next designer is Mengot, from Barcelona.

This workspace rendering by Mengot is similar to Akcalar’s first rendering, with a rustic vibe, wooden floors, and grey walls. Once again it is assumed to be an artist’s workspace (musician’s).

This kid’s room maximizes space by attaching the desk to the bed area. The vibrant colors, perhaps an influence of Mengot’s colorful city of residence, and natural light from the window, make it an encouraging and vibrant place for young minds to work.

This mauve (appropriate color for boys and girls) workspace helps one calm down enough to focus on their work.

This white and nude space offers a tranquil environment with charming, vintage art on the walls.

This fun and brightly-colored workspace will definitely strengthen a creative drive and make this a fun space to work in.

A clean space, devoid of clutter or extra unecessary things, makes this a space that is easy to focus in. The furniture is simple, sturdy, and white–with only a few pops of red, but no overwhelming use of color. This seems like the ideal workspace for a high school or even college student.

Themed Teen Rooms (For Artist, Dancer, Rockstar and Scientist!)

When we combed Carre’s site a few days back for some neat wardrobe designs, we couldn’t help but notice the set of themed teen room concepts they had for youngsters. Their teen room collection is broken down into four sets: Artist, Dancer, Rockstar and Scientist. Each set comes with its own set of props.

Artist Theme for Teenager’s Room

No prizes for guessing what the owner of this little room is into!

Dance Themed Teenager’s Room

With classy ballet artists adorning the walls and soft hues that breath chic, this space should inspire the dancer within.

Rockstar/Musician Themed Teenager’s Room

One of the few rockstar themed rooms out there that seem to pull it off without going overboard.

Scientist/Genius Themed Teenager’s Room

DNA strands, molecule models, Einstein caricature. Can it get any geekier? :)

Italian furniture company MisuraEmme brings us their vision of what today’s youth would prefer in their rooms. These teenager’s bedrooms look more like retreats, with clever built ins providing ample storage, (teenagers aren’t generally known for their minimalism), while incorporating the necessities of todays youth-good size work stations as well as an area that can double as entertaining space.
Achieved tastefully and with minimum fuss these rooms would certainly appeal to a large age group. We are sure parents would love this too… IF they remain this tidy!

BM is a Spanish company that specializes in furniture for youngsters. Their design philosophy is to design furniture that is ‘practical, simple, useful, happy and different’. This collection from designer Carlos Tiscar does justice to all these. The set impresses us with its tasteful minimalism and superb use of colours. There are very few elements used here yet the designs look complete and you feel nothing amiss. Also these lightweight, low footprint furniture do not take up too much floor space and look apt for smaller rooms as well.

Dorm Room Inspirations from IKEA

For most of us, this year is special because it’s our first year at the university! But for the rest of us, it’s even better, because we are going BACK to college. The excitement quotient is high and everyone is looking forward to experiencing another year of freedom, partying, enjoying and of course, studying.

You can pick from various colors and sizes to get what suits your budget and taste.
