If you can surround yourself with what inspires you in life, to live inside of your art, then chances are you will seldom face a dearth of creativity or inspiration. These workspaces epitomize what it is to be a fan and include those from artists that are employed within the comic & creative industry, and hardcore enthusiasts of manga and comic art from around the globe. The Japanese art inspired rooms are packed with posters and figurines depicting much loved characters from the series, allowing the owners of these places to become immersed, and shut the door on the rather less colorful real world outside.

In surrounding yourself with much loved, precious collections like these, inspiration can be drawn from your passion and injected into your work. It may encourage you to explore in greater detail, excelling you to become better at your craft. Though, if your collection is indeed career driven, and if your workspace is at home, make sure you are able to shut the door on it so that you aren’t enveloped in your work 24/7!

These days more and more people find themselves working from home, which calls for studies and makeshift design studios in our houses; whether you have a study cum bedroom, a dedicated spare room office, or your own computer clad corner of the living room, we hope you will find inspiration in these creative workspaces.

To achieve your perfect zone of concentration and creativity, storage is key; get those files up out of the way on shelving to free up maximum desk space for your tasks and necessary gadgetry. Keep notes and clippings in a uniform collection of chic magazine files, not only will it organize your research but looks good too. Use attractive baskets to stash away supplies, your home shouldn’t look as stiff and clinical as a standard workplace; try using rich wood grains to warm the look, and add friendly artwork. You can also soften your space with plush rugs and by situating a comfy corner chair for when it’s time for an all-important tea break!

Even the smallest spaces can be utilized with a custom fitted worktop and wall mounted bookcase, a little clever planning can go a long way!

With the insurgence of folks starting their own businesses or simply working out of their homes, HD decided it is only appropriate that we feature some inspiring home offices to get your entrepreneurial spirits going.

And since some of our homes are smaller than average, creating workstations that work seamlessly in a room can be a creative task in itself. Here are a few workstations that HD thought you’d appreciate. If there was only something we could do to hide those aweful inevitably exposed wires…

A hogpash of vintage furniture dresses this corner of a home with a retrospective touch of inspiration.

We are loving the little pops of color against that white brick wall.

A collection of cool frames adorns the wall above this desk on a few simple shelves that collectively create a sweet focal point!

Storage can pose an issue when you have a workstation exposed to the rest of the home, but these guys did a great job making it sparkle.

This energetic corner is prepped and ready to work for the love of arts & crafts.

With more and more people telecommuting these days, the design of personal workspaces is now something that interior designers pay close attention to. Research has proven that a cleaner and more comfortable workspace stimulates the mind and increases productivity while a poorly designed one produces an opposite effect. We recently stumbled upon a site called Deskography which does provide some excellent inspiration for designing workspaces. The site lets users upload photos of their workspaces and enables them to vote on them as well. There are plenty of inspiring visuals and here are a few that caught our fancy:

Okay here is some trivia : Who is Jonathan Ive?

Well, you may not have heard of his name, but it is highly unlikely for you to have not come across his creations. He is the Vice President of Industrial Design at Apple. Renowned as one of the best product designers on the planet with one heck of a portfolio that includes the iMac, PowerBook G4, MacBook, unibody MacBook Pro, iPod and iPhone, Ive designs almost exclusively for Apple. In fact, the only instance of him recently working out of Apple is when he offered help to Pixar Studios in designing the female robot character Eve in the movie Wall-E. Even then, the word is that Mr. Jobs was not too keen on leasing out his design overlord to a company that is actually quite close to Apple.

That is enough trivia about the Mac and its creators, now let’s take a look at some work space environments made beautiful by these machines.
