Take a look at this curvy contemporary architecture and stunning modern interiors, designed by the team at Berlin based company Xoio, a professional supplier on the German market for creative 3D images and animations. We have put together a small sample of images from their portfolio.

This stunning piece of modern architecture takes on a space age look, with huge windows that follow the curve of the walls, giving the building a thin picture frame edge.

A large sun deck protrudes forward like the bow of a ship, making you feel as though you are on a holiday cruise.

This contemporary music room looks out of dual aspect curved windows, upon an abundance of nature; simply breathtaking.

A colorful modern living space scattered with fun elements and splashes of vibrant color.

A large white office space is given a warm homely feel with a deep shag pile carpet underfoot.

A nature inspired master bedroom, complete with mossy headboard and leafy fireplace surround. The soft natural elements are offset by an impressive block structure that surrounds the head of the bed, extruding to form two bedside units, accessorized with contemporary typographical rug and modern chandelier.

An industrial air is added to this modern living room with the exposure of a concrete wall, which stretches up two stories to a mezzanine level with glass balustrade.

Fun family space with retro styling.

This bright white kitchen diner with access to a private sun patio has a homely feel, with friendly artwork and sweet shelf arrangements.

A vast living room houses blue knitted furniture and coordinating modern art, and floor to ceiling bookshelves are filled with colorful entries. Circular rugs pick out two different seating areas on the large floor space, breaking the room into useful segments. An entire wall of glass looks out onto a garden view.

A formal dining room takes on a Zen-like approach.

Rendered Minimalist Spaces by Rafael Reis

These clean renders by Rafael Reis show minimalist designs where the contents of the home blend with the surroundings, with palettes of pale neutrals only giving way to a few select accessories. The CGI layouts show wide open plan spaces that are bathed in light by huge floor to ceiling windows, with views of the city beyond.

The furniture is kept simple and functional, and a series of concrete block walls brings a utilitarian feel to the space.

A leather recliner chair paired with footstool creates a zone in which relax with a choice from the vast book collection from the bank of extensive floating shelves.

The casually arranged personal items prevent the place from appearing over staged and instead creates a pleasant lived in look, whilst the glow from the concealed strip lighting gives the large space a feeling of warmth.

Glossy finishes add to the contemporary luxury in this sophisticated room.

Islands of comfort are created with huge rugs.

A monochrome look gives this kitchen strong lines, so the dining area and over table lighting have been kept simple to prevent the two areas from clashing.

Decorating Tips for a Modern Merry Christmas

From an abundance of pretty baubles and bows, to a delicate glittering snow scheme, there are many different ways to decorate your home at Christmas time and we love them all! For this feature, we thought we’d take a peek at the slightly more modern approach to yuletide festivities, with a drop of Scandinavian essence, keeping color palettes limited and fresh, and decorations sweetly simple.

A paired down, candy cane color scheme of just red and white can be fabulously effective in a pale room.

if your walls are very dark or have a lot of pattern, then white accessories may be all you need, a collection of different shapes and textures will play with light and shadow to ice your room with a soft frosted look.

If space is limited, decorating with light can be a terrific solution to twinkle your way through December, using hanging star lights with pretty cuts outs, and adding a sprinkling of candle light to create the ultimate cozy factor.

Of course we couldn’t leave out the most popular color plan of red, gold and green, which always looks storybook perfect by a roaring fire. Resist the tangle of tinsel for your tree, and instead opt for wide curls of luxurious ribbon to achieve an up to date edge.

For a completely coordinated look, don’t forget to match the color of your gift wrapping to your tree toys!

We here at Home Designing are awestruck seeing the work of this Vietnam based firm, Open Design; seriously, this is the stuff dreams are made of. They hit the wow button every single time, creating chic spaces that ooze luxury with rich wooden floors, super glossy wall paneling, and lights dripping with sparkle. The sleek expanses of contemporary wood grain work as an effective device to bring in the large open plan spaces, attaining a sense of coziness from natural colors and textures, whilst positively screaming glamour. Decadent fabrics and Barcelona chairs let you know that no expense is spared, and art is always a grand affair with huge paintings and prints forming focal points.

A golden spa experience sees a climb of candle lit steps from bed to tub, encapsulated by floor to ceiling lustrous tiles, where neat nooks cradle smart accessories and conjure architectural interest. Stepping stones over a bed of pebbles create an indoor zen garden, where the contrast of texture against sleek tile makes a simple pebble look precious.

The finishing glow on these interiors is polished by magical lighting plans. Recessed ceilings conceal rope lighting to create a warm glow around the perimeter of the rooms, with neat formations of recessed cans for brightness, and the more lavish luminaries for twinkle, lighting serves two key purposes: illumination and atmosphere. The Art Of Sloped Ceiling Spaces

Sloping ceilings in our homes are often viewed as an obstacle when we are designing our spaces, but what happens when you stop fighting against them, and work with them? Well, according to these images from L4 World, this is when the magic happens. These architectural visualizers have impressed us on many levels, even way up in the eaves, creating loft living like no other.

Unexpected architectural arches are used to both distract from, and compliment, the irregular space, drawing the eye up at the apartments highest point. Large windows follow the pitch of the roof, allowing natural light to pick up texture in exposed brickwork, and bounce back from polished wood floors. Clever standing lamps transform shaded corners into snug relaxation zones, and lighting tracks with movable cans ensure the unusual shape is illuminated practically. A palette of white pushes the walls out and allows them to become one with the ceiling, and interesting area rugs keep the eye low where needed. To create a perception of a much taller room, seating and shelving are also kept low level, allowing large pieces of artwork to dominate.

Living in an artist’s loft as beautiful as this, we could all find ourselves feeling a little more inspired.

Warm and Cozy Rooms Rendered By Yim Lee

We came across the gorgeous work of designer Yim Lee on Flickr. It is fascinating to watch the way he plays with textures and colors to liven up the room. For example, he combines dark wood furniture, hardwood or marble floor with a fluffy carpet and sheer curtains that let the space fill up with natural light. Harsh straight lines of the sleek furniture are softened by textures of the wooden elements, or different patterns on amazing feature walls, and the warmth of the colors in the majority of the space is often broken with a pop of color here and there. It looks wonderful when it all comes together like this.

The bedrooms in Yim Lee’s renders are often revolving around a feature wall, on which the head of the bed is placed. He uses different textured walls, that are the focal point of the room, and plunder the viewers attention.

The following two rooms might be the exceptions to this set, but we couldn’t help including them here.
