Dream Closets by Italian Designers Gruppo Euromobil

Every fashion and wardrobe-conscious person has fantasized about their own perfectly coordinated, immensely spacious, luxuriously designed closet space at some point. I know I have. But whether you pine after Carrie Bradshaw’s enormous walk-in with plush rugs or prefer a sleek paneled wardrobe space, you will find something to love amongst Gruppo Euromobil’s closet designs.

This particular closet space is installed inside the wall and includes glass door panels that slide into the sides of the wall, which expands bedroom space. The different size shelves and compartments are versatile for various types of wardrobe.

This is a small walk-in built into a wide wall off the side of the bedroom but still has a seating area, which can easily become part of the closet by opening the doors, or separate by closing them.

This luxurious closet can be closed off by sliding the large panel doors over.

These Italian transformation furniture wizards specialize in researching and manufacturing furniture that let you squeeze out every inch of usable space at home. Modern classic chairs. Will they ever go out of style? We doubt it. Forged by the mid century modern era gods of furniture design, these chairs were the epitome of innovation when they were first conceived and still top the charts today as the greatest for their resilience and timeless design.

These classic designer chairs have a funny way of transforming an ordinary room into something spectacular. But at times it can be a bit confusing to decide which of these would look great for a particular space. Egg Chair – Arne Jacobsen

History: The classic Egg Chair designed by Arne Jacobsen was made in 1958 for the interior design of the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Germany.

Italian company Techno recently won the Red Dot award for a new concept workplace system it developed along with Pierandrei Associati.

The idea behind .Beta workplace system. was to build a work environment that reflects the contemporary needs of creative worker bees based on how they behave and operate in this day in this age on a daily basis. The system is basically comprised of desks, containers ( storage also used as dividers) and accessories. Going beyond the ergonomics of furniture in supporting ones physiological health, their research set forth to establish multi-functional interactive workstations that comfortably provide room for meeting, working, storage and relaxation! This open floor plan also maximizes and stimulates the flow of energy throughout which create organic pockets of room for micro conferences and lounge areas.

One concern raised was the privacy/ noise factor. But if you are the kind of person who doesn’t mind open spaces at work, you would love this!

If you have been a long term HD fan, you’ll probably remember our first space saving furniture post. Well, it’s time for an update. The level of sensibility and innovation that goes into creating multi-functional units is truly remarkable and well worth the quirky surprise when you realize your workstation is also your bed! And let’s be honest, it has been a long time coming since we (along with our pets) have been crying out for more personal space in our ever-shrinking apartments, so what’s better than to keep hitting you with our favorite discoveries of these home design inventions? The answer is- Nothing. These pieces can make the difference between living well in a perfectly compact studio and having to pay extra rent for that 1 bedroom apartment!

The video below features an Italian-Designed space saving furniture company called Resource Furniture that creates multi-purpose convertible furniture pieces that are amazing! To save on space, designers these days are building in recreational equipment right into utility furniture. This ping pong table/door by Tobias Fraenzel does take away the need for a special gaming room for playing TT.

Now we have Modular Beds as TreeHugger recently pointed out, which are the modern version of the Murphy Bed except this model doesn’t require clearing of space before the bed descends from the ceiling!! In fact, this bed can be leveled at three different heights to accommodate your other furniture. How conveniently clever is that!

Bizarre energy pod that keeps Googlers refreshed

We don’t usually come up with single-product-posts at HD but every once in a while something cool comes up that just forces us to bend the rules a little. This alien looking Energy Pod by Metronaps which Google provides to its employees for taking power naps is one such product. As far as form goes, we don’t think it can be sexier than this; regarding function, it reclines occupants to the optimal napping position while playing ambient sounds that help nappers drift into light sleep.

At about 3.6 lakh rupees ($ 8000) it would be about twice as expensive as the massage chairs that are floating around in the local market.

And of course, expensive, ‘alienish’ chairs aren’t the only things that are special about google’s offices.
