A little birdie comes to us from China, showcasing the brilliance that exists in the Chinese interior design industry. Modern Chinese interior designs are evolving and these images are beautiful, because they strike a fine balance by combining tradition and contemporary designs.
Luxury living is being redefined and emphasis is being laid on comfortable living, without compromising on style. These pictures spell sheer style, sophistication and brilliance of design while being modest in their color codes.
These images come to you from 14 YA, a company that works to create sophisticated and chic luxury homes.
Having given our take on Chinese interior designs before, we would definitely like to hear what you think about these pictures.
Even though 14 YA does not have a website yet, you can get in touch with them on their QQ id, which is: 804168359. QQ is a popular Instant Messenger application(similar to MSN & Yahoo Messenger) which is very popular in China.

Although these images are nice looking, an issue with Chinese interior design resides n their ability (or inability) to execute it. They hire workers who are more or less trained, provide only basic tools and equipment, and who are not at all attentioned to details.
Now about the designers , I find their deigns overwhelming and poised with ideas of grandeur. They have a strange conception of what high-end design really is. Making a modern and high-end interior design does not necerally mean that you should follow styles and colors from hotels in the 1920s and 30s. For those that are still pretty current, there is an overusage of ceramic for floor covering and of the color brown in general (eurk!) And the most frustating of all, you will be left alone to shop for decorative items and furniture…and the choice is very limited in China. No matter where I go, I see all the same things all over. So, what they show you on the pretty pictures is almost if not entirely impossible to obtain in reality here in China. My advice: stick with simplicity and stay real! Their so-called “european style”, well, I have never seen it done in Europe since the 1700s.
Barbaro – I think designs are very realistic to accomplish. I occupy a 1100 sq. ft. apartment and I am very inspired by the art deco period. These designs are very well executed. You may not be able to find an exact replica of the elements portrayed but you can find items pretty close too it online even if you can’t find it in china. Also not everyone has the same perception of what high end is. Especially on this little planet called earth where there are hundreds of different cultures with high end designers. Just because something doesn’t fit your cultures idea of high end doesn’t mean it is not or it is strange. If everyone had the same ideas then the world of interior design would be very boring. Also every Asian worker I have ever had the pleasure of working with spent a lot time making sure the details were executed to the “T”, so I don’t know what you’re referencing.
i love it!!!
