There is actually tremendous talent in the Chinese interior design business. Most of their work tend to go unnoticed in the English part of the world wide web. Recently a contact of mine from China mailed me some work he had seen from a design firm there called DYEast Design Consultants. From what I have seen so far, they seem to be just too good. Take a look at some samples, yourself:
This is basically a random collection of works from their portfolio which includes asian style luxury living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms. Some of the images also include the interior design work done for luxury hotels and restaurants. The designs sport a fine mix of traditional and modern.
Unfortunately they do not seem to have a website put up yet. But in case you want to contact them here is their email.

A very modern design. Surprising, especially since most Chinese design look very traditional. This is certainly refreshing. Thanks for sharing!

Modern Chinoiserie chic is what these rooms evoke.. although I personally would prefer a tad heavier dosage of that oriental flavor. Some nice pieces of contemporary Chinese art, highlighted with gentle glows, perhaps?

the designs really suited my taste.. the colors and minimal use of reds as most Chinese designs use reds much really look good and also the combination of textures and materials.
